Baseball Game Preview: Dewar Dragons vs. Barnsdall Panthers

The Dewar Dragons will challenge the Barnsdall Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated (Dewar has seven wins , while Barnsdall has five).

On Tuesday, Dewar got the win against Stonewall by a conclusive 12-3. Fans of the Dragons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Ayden Been looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on P. Kilhoffer, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. JERON BRISON was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Dewar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .581 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Barnsdall posted their closest victory since April 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Rejoice Christian 8-7. The eight-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Dewar's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Barnsdall, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
