Humboldt entered their tilt with Eureka on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Tornadoes by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cubs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Humboldt easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20.

Skylar Hottenstein had an outrageously good game as she had 21 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matchups. Another player making a difference was Bailey Daniels, who had five assists and three aces.

Humboldt's victory bumped their record up to 28-9. As for Eureka, they dropped their record down to 13-18 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Humboldt and Eureka will both be playing Cherryvale the next time they take the court. The Tornadoes will host the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cubs will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
