Softball Recap: Newark Central Takes a Loss

Newark Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Science Park Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 19-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Newark Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Science Park, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Newark Central will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Irvington at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Science Park, they will take on Immaculate Conception at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
