Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sacopee Valley). They managed a 72-66 win over the St. Dominic Saints on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Hawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Saints are ranked 46th).

Sacopee Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for St. Dominic, they moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sacopee Valley will host Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Dominic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boothbay at 6:30 p.m. on January 20th.
