Basketball Recap: Daniel Triumphs

If Walhalla wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Daniel, they should've done a better job of containing Jackson Conley. The Daniel Lions took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 76-46 victory over the Walhalla Razorbacks thanks in part to Conley, who went 7 of 9 en route to 20 points and six boards. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Walhalla still got an impressive performance from Jack Williams, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darian Simpkins, who posted eight points and 12 boards.

Daniel now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Walhalla, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Daniel will welcome Powdersville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walhalla, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-29 defeat against Tallulah Falls on the 7th.
