Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Takes a Loss

Trinity Prep played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 76-27 loss at the hands of the Innovation Bulls. Having soared to a lofty 69 points in the game before, the Saints couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Trinity Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Taine Miller posted eight points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cole Kittle, who earned six points.

Carlos Naranjo was a one-man wrecking crew For Innovation. as he went 11-for-17 en route to 28 points and five steals. The game was Naranjo's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Max Lange was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight boards.

Trinity Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Innovation, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Trinity Prep will welcome The Master's Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Saints' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Innovation, they will be taking part in a tournament against Viera at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
