Volleyball Game Preview: Cypress Bay Lightning vs. Sagemont Prep Lions + How To Watch

The Cypress Bay Lightning will square off against the Sagemont Prep Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Cypress Bay took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against West Broward as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lightning in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Julia Diaz, who had 18 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Sagemont Prep got the win against Avant Garde Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Sagemont Prep walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-21.

Sagemont Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Cypress Bay, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Cypress Bay skirted past Sagemont Prep 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Do the Lightning have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
