Dickinson took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hodgson Vo-Tech, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Eagles 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on five straight.

Joseph Quigley was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Dickinson is undefeated when Quigley posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Luke Trzeciakiewicz was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Dickinson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dickinson will venture away from home to face off against Odyssey Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.88 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they will head out to challenge Newark Charter School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
