Baseball Recap: Weldon Valley Comes Up Short

Weldon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 8-4 to the Briggsdale Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-0 back in March.

Noah Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Weldon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Briggsdale, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to an 7-7 tie later that day.
