Basketball Recap: Winslow Comes Up Short

Winslow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Combs Coyotes.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Combs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quinmetris Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Cunningham is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Daniel Washington was another key player, going 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points and three steals.

Winslow's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Combs, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Winslow will face off against St. Johns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Combs, they will square off against Poston Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
