Basketball Recap: Manhattan Falls Despite Big Games from Delaney Larson and Kat Ball

Manhattan was the 60-54 winner over Topeka when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Manhattan Indians took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Topeka Trojans on Friday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manhattan's loss came despite strong showings from Kat Ball and Delaney Larson. Ball posted 15 points and five steals, while Larson earned 14 points. Manhattan is 7-2 when Ball posts three or more steals, but 3-4 otherwise. Jorryn Hall was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Manhattan's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Topeka, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6-1.

Manhattan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-47 win against Hayden on the 18th. As for Topeka, they have also already played their next game, a 76-23 victory against Junction City/St. Xavier on the 17th.
