Basketball Recap: Eagle Takes Down Ranked Rigby

On Thursday, Eagle faced Rigby in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Eagle Mustangs strolled past the Rigby Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 55-40. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Berkley Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Taya Nelson, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Eagle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
