Basketball Recap: Seymour Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Seymour had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They wrapped up 2024 with a 59-40 win over the Batesville Bulldogs. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Owls' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 99th).

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Batesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Seymour didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-51 victory against Borden on the 28th. As for Batesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 43-35 win against Bedford North Lawrence on the 28th.
