Soccer Game Preview: Shorewood vs. Edmonds-Woodway

The Shorewood Stormrays will face off against the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shorewood's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Edmonds-Woodway's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Shorewood's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Meadowdale. Shorewood haven't had any issues with Meadowdale recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Dominic Dalasta and Julian Shook scored both of Shorewood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Edmonds-Woodway was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Shorecrest could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

With that draw, Edmonds-Woodway's record moves to 5-3-1. As for Shorewood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Shorewood beat Edmonds-Woodway by a goal when the teams last played back in March, winning 2-1. Do the Stormrays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
