Softball Recap: Keyser Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Keyser, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over the Hampshire Trojans on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Golden Tornado, who have now won 15 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bibs Felton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Root, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Keyser's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hampshire, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Keyser is taking a road trip to take on Frankfort at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 25th straight win, something the Golden Tornado surely won't give up without a fight. Hampshire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
