Softball Recap: Cattaraugus-Little Valley Timberwolves vs. Silver Creek Black Knights
Cattaraugus-Little Valley had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Creek Black Knights on Wednesday. Cattaraugus-Little Valley has not had much luck with Silver Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
For Silver Creek's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Weiskerger, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Weiskerger has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks every time she's pitched this season. Makayla Kelly was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Silver Creek now has a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cattaraugus-Little Valley will take on Pine Valley Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Silver Creek, they will be playing at home against Lake Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
