Volleyball Game Preview: Winchester Red & Black vs. Belmont Marauders

The Winchester Red & Black are taking a road trip to take on the Belmont Marauders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Winchester is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Winchester is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Massachusetts' top teams: Brookline, who was ranked 19th at the time (Winchester was ranked tenth). The Red & Black walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Belmont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Lexington by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Belmont was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17.

Winchester's record now sits at 8-0. As for Belmont, their record is now 6-4.

Winchester took their victory against Belmont in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red & Black since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
