Softball Recap: Boiling Springs Comes Up Short

Boiling Springs blew West Perry out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday West Perry got their revenge. The Bubblers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-3. The Bubblers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Boiling Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Boiling Springs dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for West Perry, their victory ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Boiling Springs is set to take on their familiar foe Shippensburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Perry will square off against rival Waynesboro at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
