Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

After flying high against Eastern on Tuesday, Hillsboro came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Goshen Warriors on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Hillsboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Lane, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Goshen, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Hillsboro didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Clermont Northeastern on the 15th. As for Goshen, they will venture away from home to square off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Big Blue will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
