Basketball Recap: Kaukauna Comes Up Short

If Kaukauna was feeling good fresh off their 67-37 takedown of Oshkosh North last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts were dealt a 70-31 loss at the hands of the Appleton East Patriots on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Galloping Ghosts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kaukauna's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Appleton East, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Kaukauna has already played their next game (against Neenah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Appleton East will take on Oshkosh North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Appleton East knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Oshkosh North likes a good challenge.
