Basketball Recap: Royse City Comes Up Short

Royse City was the 76-54 winner over Longview when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Royse City Bulldogs took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longview Lobos.

Demarion Williams was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 boards for Longview. The matchup was Williams' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jeffery Smith was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Royse City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Longview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Rockwall the next time they take the court. Royse City will head out to face Rockwall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Longview will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
