Calvary Academy hasn't had much luck against The Pilgrim Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warrior are taking a road trip to face off against the Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. Calvary Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Calvary Academy got the win against Lakewood by a conclusive 20-5. The victory continues a trend for the Warrior in their matchups with the Piners: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Tori DiChiara, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Ciccone, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, The Pilgrim Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Atlantic Christian.
Andrea German led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jayden Wolcott, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
The Pilgrim Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Calvary Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Calvary Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .594. However, it's not like The Pilgrim Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Calvary Academy took their victory against The Pilgrim Academy in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 24-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warrior since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
