Basketball Recap: Linganore's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Linganore lost against Middletown back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Linganore Lancers took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middletown Knights. The game marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Linganore lost, don't look at Dylan Hodgson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Linganore is undefeated when Hodgson posts ten or more boards, but 2-5 otherwise. Cory Clark was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

The defeat snapped Linganore's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Middletown, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Linganore has already played their next match, an 82-29 win against Catoctin on the 21st. Middletown has also already played their next game (against Oakdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
