Football Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Grant Union Prospectors 46-6. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 27-6 to the Prospectors when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Riverside still got an impressive performance from Sergio Avalos, who rushed for 100 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Grant Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Riverside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 56-6 loss against Heppner on the 24th. As for Grant Union, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Stanfield on the 24th.
