Baseball Recap: Tonkawa Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Tonkawa was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Union City Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

Tonkawa let Cayden Duvall and Brody Reed run wild. Duvall scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Reed scored two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, Duvall posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Reese Mullins, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Tonkawa's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Union City, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-4 record.

Coming up, Tonkawa will face off against Timberlake at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Buccaneers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Union City, they will take on Watonga at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
