Softball Recap: California Lutheran C-Hawks vs. Temecula Prep Patriots
California Lutheran had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 7-8 to make it four. They came up short against the Temecula Prep Patriots, falling 22-12. The C-Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Emily French led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Neleh Boehm was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
As for Temecula Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-16. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games.
On Temecula Prep's side, Kori Dawson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. Dawson continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Fregoso, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Coming up, California Lutheran is taking a road trip to take on La Sierra Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Temecula Prep, they will face off against Desert Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
