Basketball Game Preview: Hudson Bluehawks vs. Tolman Tigers

Two dominant guards in Keith Robinson and John Hilaire are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hudson Bluehawks will square off against the Tolman Tigers at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Hudson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Tuesday, Hudson blew past Watervliet, posting an 86-55 victory. Fans of the Bluehawks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Gannon Logue continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 of 18 en route to 27 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.

Hudson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Tolman faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Everything went Tolman's way against Barrington as Tolman made off with a 70-45 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted since February 12, 2024.

Hudson pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.4 points. As for Tolman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.
