Recap: St. Paul's Prep Lions vs. Cristo Rey Fort Worth Lions
The St. Paul's Prep Lions won the last time they faced the Cristo Rey Fort Worth Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. St. Paul's Prep claimed a resounding 45-14 victory over Cristo Rey Fort Worth on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-4.
St. Paul's Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haylie Hoang, who scored 15 points along with six steals and four blocks. Hoang hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Rowen Hughes, who scored 13 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
St. Paul's Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Cristo Rey Fort Worth, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
St. Paul's Prep will head out on the road to square off against Burton Adventist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Burton Adventist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. Cristo Rey Fort Worth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
