Football Recap: Saint Jo Panthers vs. Campbell Indians
Saint Jo never let their opponents score on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 56-0 victory over the Campbell Indians. The Panthers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Saint Jo had a senior duo take command as Wade Lucas gained 156 total yards and three touchdowns and Devin Stewart threw for 184 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Lucas' longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. Mathew Sampson got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The win for Saint Jo keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. As for Campbell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Saint Jo will welcome Union Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Saint Jo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Union Hill likes a good challenge. As for Campbell, they will head out to square off against Leverett's Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
