Soccer Game Preview: Denver Christian vs. Forge Christian

The Denver Christian Thunder will head out on the road to square off against the Forge Christian Fury at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denver Christian's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Denver Christian fell victim to Colorado Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. That's two games in a row now that Denver Christian have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Forge Christian hasn't lost a match since September 4th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and Jefferson Academy finished up their match with a 0-0 draw. Forge Christian had to tread lightly for part of the matchup as Cameron Brown and Jayden Howell were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Denver Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. Forge Christian's draw makes their record 5-1-3 this season.

Denver Christian skirted past Forge Christian 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
