Baseball Recap: Angola Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Angola and Westview, and Westview kept the tradition alive. The Hornets fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Ryan Stuckey and Jackson Steury stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stuckey went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Steury got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That home run marked the first that Stuckey has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Steury, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Angola's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Westview, their record is now 7-10.

Angola wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-5 win against Central Noble on the 15th. As for Westview, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Churubusco on the 15th.
