Basketball Game Preview: West Davidson Dragons vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars

The West Davidson Dragons will head out to take on the Southwestern Randolph Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, West Davidson didn't have quite enough to beat East Rowan and fell 60-57.

Meanwhile, Southwestern Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of Wheatmore.

West Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southwestern Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

West Davidson was taken down by Southwestern Randolph 64-29 in their previous matchup back in November of 2021. Thankfully for the Dragons, Sean Adkins (who shot 75% from the field to rack up 16 points along with six boards and five assists) won't be suiting up this time.
