Game recap: St. Thomas Aquinas pulls off late win against Columbus

St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as O?korn ran for a touchdown with 11:00 left, bringing the team to victory over Columbus (Miami, Fla.) 38-28.

After trailing 10-7 at the half, the Explorers went ahead on a rushing touchdown with 4:00 left in the third.

By the end of the third, St. Thomas Aquinas found itself trailing by 4.00 points as Columbus captured the lead thanks to one score in the quarter. CHS scored on a touchdown run in the quarter.

O?korn was the best player for STA in the game. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for three touchdowns.



St. Thomas Aquinas (1-0) goes up against Cypress Bay in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Columbus (0-1) locks horns with Belen Jesuit in a non-conference game.
