Football Game Preview: Faith Christian Patriots vs. Halifax Academy Vikings

The Faith Christian Patriots will take on the Halifax Academy Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Faith Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.

Faith Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Life Christian Academy 74-44 on Friday. With the Patriots ahead 32-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Blayde Hinton was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 368 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards and one TD. Those 368 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Ayden Tyndall was another key player, gaining 104 total yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Faith Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. They are a perfect 6-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Faith Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cayce Hinton and Tyndall.

Halifax Academy played against Pungo Christian Academy on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Halifax Academy is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. As for Faith Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
