Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Preparatory Rams vs. Flint River Academy Wildcats

The Heritage Preparatory Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Flint River Academy Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Heritage Preparatory turned things around against North Georgia HomeSchool on Monday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 10-10 tie. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rams' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Flint River Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.46 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They walked away with a 14-10 win over Harvester Christian Academy. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won six in a row.

Hunter Pike and J. Stanton Pritchard did most of the damage at the plate: Pike scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Pritchard scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Sullivan Jones was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Flint River Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-2. With that draw, Heritage Preparatory's record moves to 2-9-1.
