Basketball Recap: Winfield's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Winfield's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over the Bowling Green Bobcats. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Bowling Green still got an impressive performance from Sydney Charlton, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Charlton is now averaging an impressive 8.3 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Dawson, who posted 12 points.

Winfield's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Bowling Green, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Winfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-41 defeat against North Callaway on the 31st. As for Bowling Green, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Silex at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
