Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Valley Christian easily dispatched Cabrillo last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Valley Christian Defenders fell just short of the Calvary Chapel Eagles by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Defenders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Valley Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Witt, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Valley Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Calvary Chapel, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will host Mayfair at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season. As for the Eagles, they will welcome the Grizzlies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
