Basketball Game Preview: Wenatchee Panthers vs. West Valley Rams

Wenatchee is 0-10 against West Valley since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Wenatchee Panthers will head out to square off against the West Valley Rams at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, Wenatchee turned things around against Othello on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-45 win over the Huskies.

Meanwhile, West Valley came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 82-51 victory over the Mavericks. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

West Valley pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.0 points per game. As for Wenatchee, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.

Wenatchee took a serious blow against West Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 72-25. Can Wenatchee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
