Recap: Faith Christian Saints vs. Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy Cougars
The Faith Christian Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 73-37 loss at the hands of Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1444th, while Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy is ranked 656th).
Despite the loss, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: Bryan Galvan scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Galvan has scored all season.
Jaimon Joseph was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with eight steals and three blocks for Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy. It was the first time this season that Joseph posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Blake-Benard, who scored 14 points along with five steals and four blocks.
Faith Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
Faith Christian will head out on the road to face off against Still Creek Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
