Softball Recap: Basic Wolves vs. Legacy Longhorns

Basic had already won 17 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs), and they went ahead and made it 18 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Legacy Longhorns as they made off with a 13-1 win. Basic might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

Mia Frias was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Frias was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Gabrielle Clayton was incredible, going 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Braelynn Yakubik, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Basic pushed their record up to 20-6 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home. As for Legacy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12.

As of now, neither Basic nor Legacy have any future games scheduled.
