Softball Recap: Sullivan Beats Arthur-Okaw Christian for Their Third Straight Victory

Sullivan barely beat Arthur-Okaw Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Sullivan put the hurt on Arthur-Okaw Christian with a sharp 13-6 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Redskins as they're now sitting on three straight.

Natalie Stinson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

In other batting news, J'Nai Webb was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Those runs marked the first that she scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Robinson, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Sullivan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Sullivan now has a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Sullivan will be playing at home against Mattoon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Central A & M at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
