After a string of nine wins, Carlson's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Huron Chiefs. The Marauders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Kiley Lewandowski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Carlson's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Huron, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlson will challenge Garden City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Huron, they will square off against Flat Rock at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
