Recap: Fort Campbell Falcons vs. Owensboro Catholic Aces
After a string of three wins, The Fort Campbell Falcons''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-7 loss at the hands of Owensboro Catholic. While losing is never fun, Fort Campbell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Owensboro Catholic is ranked 19th).
Brady Atwell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Owensboro Catholic, throwing for 302 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84% of his passes. Atwell is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. William "Tutt" Carrico also helped out with an impressive 140 receiving yards.
Fort Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Owensboro Catholic, their win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
Fort Campbell will take on Webster County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Owensboro Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against North Hardin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
