Soccer Game Preview: Oviedo vs. Seminole

The Oviedo Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Seminole Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oviedo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

Oviedo's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Trinity Prep 8-0. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Saints are ranked 406th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oviedo's offense was hitting Trinity Prep from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Alexzander Pavlovic led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Seminole after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Winter Springs by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Seminoles have lost by just one goal.

The victory made it two in a row for Oviedo and bumps their season record up to 5-2-1. As for Seminole, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3-1.
