Sheridan came tearing into Thursday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Speedway Sparkplugs as they made off with a 48-24 win. The Blackhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Kenzie Garner was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 14 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 19 or more in the last seven games she's played. Cecilia Timme was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Sheridan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Sheridan's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Speedway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Sheridan will face off against Guerin Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Ava Bills and Garner. As for Speedway, they will welcome Western Boone at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
