Soccer Recap: Highland Park Extends Winning Streak to Three

Highland Park waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Reedy Lions a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Scots, who have now won eight matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Highland Park pushed their record up to 11-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Reedy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Park will venture away from home to square off against Creekview at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Reedy, they will face off against Wakeland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakeland knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Reedy likes a good challenge.
