Baseball Game Preview: Walnut Ridge Bobcats vs. Buffalo Island Central Mustangs

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats will square off against the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Walnut Ridge will be strutting in after a win while Buffalo Island Central will be coming in after a loss.

Walnut Ridge lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Harrisburg, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 10-4 victory on Friday. Considering the Bobcats have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Buffalo Island Central didn't have quite enough to beat Rector on Thursday and fell 5-4. The Mustangs have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Walnut Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Buffalo Island Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
