Crete-Monee never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Thornton Wildcats as they made off with a 15-0 win. Considering the Warriors have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Christopher Schubbe looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Bren Milburn and Timothy Gaddis did most of the damage at the plate: Milburn earned one RBI, three runs, and five stolen bases, while Gaddis went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those five stolen bases gave Milburn a new career-high. Anthony Monegan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Crete-Monee hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thornton struck out ten times.

Crete-Monee now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Thornton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6-1.

Crete-Monee will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
