Volleyball Recap: Armada Takes a Loss

Armada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the North Branch Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 7th.

North Branch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addyson Martus, who had eight aces. Those eight aces gave Martus a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haley Henry, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Armada's loss dropped their record down to 5-26. As for North Branch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-11 record this season.

Armada will venture away from home to take on Grosse Pointe North at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Branch, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Croswell-Lexington on the 25th.
