Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ryan Lions vs. Velva Aggies        
        
		
             Bishop Ryan was the  3-0 winner over Velva when they last played one another  back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop Ryan Lions fell just short of the Velva Aggies by a score of  3-2 on Tuesday. The Lions have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Bishop Ryan sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 16-25, 25-17, 8-25,  16-14.
 Velva found their leader in underclassman  Keely Cadwell, who  had 20  digs and two  aces. Those 20  digs set a new season-high mark for her.
 Bishop Ryan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Velva, their win bumped their record up to 2-3-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Ryan will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Bottineau  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Velva, they will face off against Our Redeemer's Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Our Redeemer's Christian will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something Velva surely won't give up without a fight.
